Kids Potty Training Books in Spanish and English

Kids Potty Training Books in Spanish and English - Mi LegaSi

I'm assuming that if you're looking at this list of books you're in need of help getting your bilingual child potty trained.  My daughter is now 6 and we're well past the potty training phase but I can assure you, it was not easy.  I still don't understand when I hear moms say that they potty trained in 3 days, for me it seemed to take forever.  Don't worry, the good news is that they will get potty trained and one day you too can look back.  I'm providing you a list of books that will help but you can also check out our potty training blog links and our potty training charts that I created in desperation to help my daughter get potty trained and guess what?  They totally work!  but first let's get to the books:

Best Potty Training Books for Kids in English and Spanish

1. Diapers Are Not Forever / Los pañales no son para siempre (Best Behavior® Board Book Series) (English and Spanish Edition)

It's so important when you are potty training that it becomes a team effort, including for abuelas when they come over.  I love this bilingual book that was written by a specialist that is perfect for a bilingual household.

Diapers are not forever

Concept:

Potty training for kids takes patience and practice, and this charming, straightforward book helps pave the way. With Diapers Are Not Forever / Los pañales no son para siempre, young children learn how to use the potty and why it’s time to do so, while gaining the courage and confidence to face this important milestone in their lives. When little ones learn to do what the big kids do (go, wipe, flush, wash their hands), they won’t need a diaper anymore—they’ll have underwear under there! The book includes tips for parents and caregivers from a children’s health specialist.

10. Let's Go to the Potty!: A Potty Training Book for Toddlers

This is a simple book that has a song that you're supposed to teach your child as they go potty.  I like the illustrations very much.  Note that this book has regular pages that are easily torn so that may not be a good thing for a younger child.  I think it's more age appropriate for a 3 year old.
