Quotes
The key for children is to create a positive connection to the language and to make it fun, you have to make it fun, you have to make it impactful, you have to make it memorable.
Active communication, that's the part that they're speaking, where they're using the language, is crucial for them for the development of language skills.
If you're hesitant to speak to them because you feel that your Spanish or minority language is not strong enough, that is okay. But the more that you practice and the more they see you practice, the more likely they are going to practice the minority language as well.
